A touching tale from Ireland where all the trials and troubles of a poor rural existence are suspended briefly when Doug sings his haunting country and western ballads. But despite his obvious talent as a singer/songwriter, he needs to build his confidence and his relationships don’t always help. This is a poignant classic that’s both funny and sad but well worth the experience of an Ireland we don’t often see.
