Even remote Penallt is concerned with women in Ministry, and in the 1987 report of the Diocesan Conference, ‘PCC’s were being asked fit their opinions on the appointment of women incumbents…we could use many more priests including non-stipendiary ones…’
For over two years we were fortunate to have the services, first as Reader and later as ordained Curate, of the Rev Jill Evans. She is remembered with affection and greatly missed in the parish.
