This charming French comedy was the number one box office hit in France in 1993. The story begins in the 12th Century in the court of the Count Montmirail who seeks the help of a wizard to regain his stolen jewels. But the old wizard’s spells go wrong as the Count and his “Baldric-like” servant are mistakenly transported to the 20th Century where mayhem ensues as many of the present day locals seem strangely familiar.
