Christmas Eve

A small choir of angels, several shepherds and assorted adults accompanied Mary, Joseph and the vicar on the Penallt Village Green on Christmas Eve 2010. As they processed through the drifting snow to Pentwyn Barn, they were joined by more followers. At the barn, the group was welcomed by John Howellls with mulled wine for the adults and warm shelter for everyone.

Children and adults joined the angelic chorus as the story of the birth of Jesus was narrated by the Reverend Sandra Howells and acted out by children from the area; Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, shepherds, angels and Wise Kings were all represented.

Finally, to the delight of all concerned, there was a surprise visit from Father Christmas who joined in the final hymn, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, reminding everyone of the message of Christmas.
