Closure of the Humble by Nature farm shop & café
It is with great sadness that we have decided to close our shop and café. Despite the hard work and initiative of our tremendous team of cooks and front of house staff, it just couldn’t make ends meet. Our final trading day in the shop and café will be Monday 14th December. Up until then it will be business as usual, and we will be open Thursday to Monday from 10am – 4pm.
We have a Christmas shopping evening on Friday 13th November where you will be able to buy wonderful and unusual presents made by our many gifted local producers and suppliers. We also have supper clubs on Friday 27th November and Friday 11th December (a Christmas feast with a twist) which we plan to make fitting celebrations of the talents of our team, as well as the Christmas wine tasting on Thursday 19th November. Humble by Nature’s other activities will continue and will not be affected by the closure of the shop and café. Our mission remains to give people of all ages the opportunity to come to a working farm, to learn, to explore, to get their fingers nails dirty! We have a wide range of courses already scheduled for next year, including some wonderful new ones – please check our calendar for details.
We will host school visits and run events for children throughout the school holidays, which will always include the chance to meet the animals and play on the adventure playground. Easter half term will coincide with lambing season, so sign up for our newsletter, keep an eye on the website, Facebook or Twitter to be the first to hear about our special events that week.
We have a wonderful, unusual venue for bespoke private and corporate events and parties. Do contact us if you would like to discuss any ideas.
In the meantime we would like to thank all our customers, particularly our lovely local regulars, for your tremendous support and enthusiasm. It has been a huge privilege for us to work with everyone who has been involved in the shop and café and we are extremely proud of what the whole Humble by Nature team have created.
