The pages in this section relate to historical aspects of the village.
The two main sub-sections are:-
Kimber: a large collection consisting mainly of chapters from two books edited by the late “Kim” Kimber – “Penallt – A Village Miscellany” and “Penallt Revisited”, augmented by a few documents from other sources. Together, these probably constitute the most comprehensive history of the village in existence.
Wartime Penallt: reminiscences of a young evacuee to Penallt in World War II
There is also information on the old Wye Valley Railway and the Penallt Viaduct
