My Life As A Dog

This charming and funny Swedish film was made before Hallström made it big in the States with the likes of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and The Shipping News. It follows the story of a young boy called Ingemar who’s sent to live with his Aunt and Uncle because his mum is taken ill and can’t manage both him and his elder brother. There he meets up with various interesting and amusing new friends, one of whom begins to awaken his emerging sense of manhood.
