Big Day Out 2016 promises to be fun for all ages: with an irresistible mix of food, music, crafts, not forgetting the farm Olympics and there’s plenty for the kids too. Early bird Saturday only and weekend tickets are available now.
2015’s sold-out event saw festival goers enjoying campfire singing with Gareth Malone OBE, Dallas Campbell getting scientific about pizza, Matt Tebutt was cooking up a summer seafood paradise and Tom Herbert, of the Fabulous Baker Brothers, was making doughnuts at the fire pit.
Remi Harris did a turn on the trailer stage, local bands The Noses and The Brwmys played into the night and Simon Mu from Back to Basics was in the Teepee. There was fantastic food from Hang Fire Smokehouse, Gopal’s Curry Shack, Tapped & Cured and Dusty Knuckle.
The craft village was a hive of activity with willow weaving, pottery, green wood work and much more. There were plenty of free activities for kids too with the Craghoppers low ropes and the bushcraft area.
