This is the position as advised by GCC Highways.
GCC are planning to re-surface / repair the A466 through Redbrook village and as far south as Bigsweir Bridge.
Period of works: 4th – 10th October
The intention is to ”work unrestricted hours” to complete the works as quickly as possible, however it is not intended to work at weekends to minimise the impact on businesses in the area. During the day when work is taking place the road will be closed with no on street parking. There will be restricted access from the south to, for example, The Florence. The road will be open each evening but with some traffic management restrictions (lights?). Bus companies have been / will be advised.
The diversion routes are:
Chepstow bound: A4136, B4228, B4231, A48 to Chepstow
Monmouth bound: B4293 and A40 to Monmouth
