Disabled Lift

Fantastic News! Pelham Hall has been awarded £10k towards the installation of a lift in the foyer to enable people with disabilities to access the first floor independently or with help from their carer. The lift will be installed in the front stairwell void in the next couple of months.

Following months of fundraising – Aladdin panto, ceilidh, supper and social nights and donations from villagers etc we’ve reached our target to purchase a lift.

Gareth Williams, Funding Manager at The National Lottery Community Fund said:
“After talking to many people in the community, the (Hall) trustees realised that access was an issue and came to us for a grant to put in a lift to help people get into and out of the building. We hope the community find this a useful addition and make the hall an even more useful resource.”

The Hall Management Committee has already been pledged £3k from the Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation so having been successful with the Lottery application it’s all systems go!
