Press Release – Have your say on the Gateway Monmouth Project
11th December 2012
Monmouthshire County Council and local organisations have been asking local people and visitors over the last few weeks for their views on how the space alongside the Old Monnow Bridge in Monmouth’s centre could be enhanced as a key area to announce the town as well as a place to sit out in and enjoy.
The Gateway Monmouth survey has generated a good response to date, with Thursday, 13th December 2012 the deadline for handing in completed surveys to the Central Monmouthshire One Stop Shop (next to the town’s Nelson Museum) or through the on-line survey.
The survey is one of a number of ways that the town can get involved over the coming months with a public exhibition planned for early February 2013. The project has also involved young people in the town with pupils from local schools and the Attik Youth Centre adding their ideas.
There are a couple of days left to pick up to give your views on this key town centre site by handing in a questionnaire to Debbie McCarty at the Central Monmouthshire One Stop Shop or by completing an on-line questionnaire here.
Updates on the project are also provided through the County Council’s website (www.monmouthshire.gov.uk).
