V F (Kim) Kimber lived in Penallt for some three decades or so and, amongst many other contributions to village life, has been notable for his impressive output of drawings and water colours of village life. Kathleen Price (née Wakeling) was evacuated to Penallt during the Second World War and has lived in the village for much of the time since then, building up a small collection of Penallt memorabilia at the same time.
