As mentioned in the last newsletter, and partly in response to the temporary closure of the Mitchel Troy recycling site, TUCC are, at no direct cost to residents, providing a skip for residents to dispose of larger items and other waste that would normally be taken to Mitchel Troy recycling site.
The “8 yard” skip will be available next weekend (31 Oct – 1 Nov) and will be sited in the Pelham Hall car park.
We have been assured by the potential providers of the skips that most of the contents would normally go for some sort of recycling.
This is being done on a one-off trial basis. If this provision ends up being abused in some way, then TUCC would be unlikely to repeat the exercise.
